Sunday Worship

Sunday morning worship starts at 11am. We have a faithful core of regular worshippers of all ages and we welcome others to join us at any time. 

We have refreshments and time for fellowship after the service the 2nd Sunday of every month, and the Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated 4 times a year.

Compass

Compass is our club for P7 - S4, which runs Thursday evenings from 4pm-6pm held in the church halls.

All are welcome to join us for a chat, master their skills at table tennis, table football, board games, cooking or baking. It's a space to chill, meet with friends and come together over dinner, which the young people prepare for themselves. 

Lunch Club

Food and fellowship shared over a home made lunch every Wednesday at 12.30pm.

 

Cost is £3.00.

Connections Project

Run by our Connections Project Worker, the project is dedicated to supporting one parent families in Broomhouse. Offering non-judgemental, sensitive listening, support and friendship and can guide you to further help. Find out more through on Facebook.

Messy Church

Let's get crafting! Messy Church is for families of all ages to connect and make new friends while crafting, listening to stories and chatting over a family lunch.

In our vision for be 'Outwards in Action' we aim to relevantly connect with individuals, families and communities throughout our parish, we also aim to work with and support as many community partners as possible.

 

Life Events

St David's offers practical and spiritual guidance for key life events, from child blessings and baptisms to marriage and funerals.  If you would like to explore or enquire about any of these, please contact our minister.

Broomhouse Primary School

Our minister, Michael and Children and Families Worker, Gigha work closely with the local Primary School through leading Assemblies, helping at events, 1-1 paired reading and even teaching chanter classes. 

The Broomhouse Centre

The Broomhouse Centre provides many forms of support and outreach in the community to people from all walks of life; from young carers to dementia sufferers. They also offer practical training in their café to those with special needs and provide a service to tackle loneliness and isolation among the over 60's in the area. 

We are so happy to support their work, as well as (coming soon) host them in our church as they undergo a substantial rebuild over the next 2 years. For more information click here.

Broomhouse Health Stategy Group

The Broomhouse Health Strategy Group a community-led health project which aims to improve health and well-being within the communities of Broomhouse, Sighthill and Parkhead by providing a variety of social health activities, many of which are run from St David's church halls. They provide a range of free services including a volunteer–run fruit and vegetable co-op, a home delivery service, cookery classes, physical activities including exercise classes and a walking group. 

We are pleased to work closely with BHSG throughout the year on different community projects and events. For more information click here.

The Big Project

The BIG Project, run from within Broomhouse Primary School, provides open access youth work, projects and individual support. Their programme offers children and young people a chance to go somewhere safe and supervised; take part in constructive activities; develop new interests; acquire new skills; make new friends; improve their health and fitness and get support and guidance from adults.

Gigha, our Children & Families worker, is privileged to work closely with The BIG Project, helping to run their Roots Club for P3-P4's and providing support throughout the year at various activities. For more information click here.

Broomhouse Foodbank

Our congregation make regular donations to Broomhouse Foodbank.  Donations can be handed in to the Church – an up-to-date list of items they require can be found here.

St David's Toddlers Group

St David's Toddler Group is every Wednesday from 9am - 11am, and is run by a dedicated team of local child minders with years of experience. All Parents/Carers and children are welcome to join anytime for some fun songs and crafts and to play and socialise.

Hall Lets

St David's church halls are available to rent throughout the week. They are versatile and can be used for many activities. Our current hall lets include City Star Majorettes and Slimming World as well as other community organisations such as The Broomhouse Health Strategy Group.
